thotbld: Being in Amsterdam, a place not so known for motions, how is it like working at home and on your own?

JoostK: I am not limiting to being in Amsterdam,  because I started working under my own name in Klemme, the smallest town in Holland. And you really build on the reputation you get on the internet. And the internet is so global that it does matter where you are. Of course it sounds nice to have Amsterdam on your business card, but from that I get to work in many different places.

thotbld: Can you work from the road?

JoostK: I preferred to work from Home, and I don’t travel and work from location that much.

thotbld: The Name Renasent…

JoostK: ah, is about rebirth, being reborn, the state of progression. kind of like what i would like in my work, constantly renew yourself. Yeah, continuous progress.

thotbld: What you think of working with technology is like these days?

JoostK: In today’s technological world, if you look ten years ago, you need silicon graphic to do 3D graphics, and now you can get a home shop computer for about a thousand dollar, whatever. I mean is not a state of the art but you can do a lot on it. I think from that point of view if you want to do movies, graphics, if you are really motivated. The technology is there right now.
